I owe a lot to my strong academic background. I always had challenging classwork, starting with Gifted and Talented programs in school. I went to high school at Plano ISD, which is highly competitive, and completed the International Baccalaureate program there. As this program is rigorous, I had to push myself hard, but I learned different world perspectives that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. I went on to Texas A&M University, where I completed a B.S. degree majoring in Biology and minoring in Spanish and spent time volunteering. My tutoring experience started in my high school honor society, and continued in college. I have continued tutoring a wide range of subjects and students varying in age and ability. I love seeing my students set goals and succeed. I prefer tutoring math and science, which are my strong points. My subjects include any mathematics from Elementary to Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and test prep for the SAT. My tutoring philosophy is not to lecture my students, but to build a relationship as peers, like a friend who's "been there" giving you advice.Besides academics, my passion is dance. Since I was a young child, dancing has helped me express myself creatively and relieve stress.
