EducationTexas A & M University-College Station - BS, Biomedical Sciences; Psychology
ExperienceI attended Texas A&M University, where I earned a double major in Psychology and Biomedical Science. Prior to that, I went to James Madison High School, where I was the Valedictorian of my graduating class. My plan is to continue my education at UT Southwestern Medical School. My goal as a tutor is be encouraging. With a little encouragement, students gain the confidence to master a subject. I do my best to keep learning fun, yet productive. My experiences as a tutor began when I assisted my peers with AP-level coursework. The summer after my first year of college, I accepted a job teaching Math and Science to high school and middle school students. I spent my last year in college tutoring student athletes, helping them keep their grades up so they could play. I primarily tutored them in Psychology, although some required assistance with their Writing classes.Math is another common subject I tutor in. I provide help with Algebra, Precalculus, Arithmetic, and SAT Mathematics concepts. I also enjoy tutoring Science, and offer help with Physiology, Physics, Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry, and Biochemistry. The SAT and MCAT are two of the most important tests students will take during their academic careers, and since I have taken these tests myself, I am more than capable of assisting students with preparing for these exams. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, baking, scrapbooking, and Pilates.
